Altar Servers participate throughout the Mass assisting the priest and deacon. Young men and women, age 9 and older who have received the Sacrament of First Reconciliation and First Communion are encouraged to serve our parish in this very fulfilling ministry. Being involved in the Mass in this way is a great opportunity for our young parishioners to experience the Liturgy in a unique way.

Ministers of Hospitality Ministry – Greeters and Ushers
As a greeter or an usher you are the first contact for our parishioners and guests as they come to Saint John the Evangelist / Our Lady of Mount Carmel for Mass. Your welcoming face is the first they see as they enter our church, therefore know that you are an important part of welcoming, retaining and increasing our congregation.

r. In addition, you will gather and secure the offerings by passing the collection baskets to collect donations.
Two greeters and two ushers serve at every Mass. New volunteers are trained by a knowledgeable volunteer and assignments are scheduled at your convenience.
